Alexandra Alden is a musician from the island of Malta. She has lived in three different countries and moves at least once a year – not necessarily by her own choice. For some reason, she cannot stay in one place for too long. This may be due to extreme bad luck, or to the fact that fate chooses to push her in and out of moments of comfort and then discomfort. Between these transitions, Alden’s songs come to life; the end of one chapter is the beginning of a new one.

At a time when environmental and socio-political concerns are growing around the world, it is more important than ever that people take responsibility for themselves, rather than giving in to the idea that someone else will. Artists, along with their varied audiences, have a key role to play in bringing about this change. Alden aims to make songs with a central message that sets an example, interweaving stories of her own experiences while focusing on the role of the artist and questioning their role.

Alexandra Alden released her first EP The Curious Child in 2012 which was followed by Wild Honey in 2018. She was also invited to be part of the jury of TV show X-Factor Malta for two seasons in 2018, making her a household name in Malta. In addition to a few tours across Europe, Alexandra Alden has also performed at the Popronde (2018), Eurosonic Noorderslag (2020) and North Sea Round Town (2019 and 2021).
