CLUB GEWALT are a music and performance collective from Rotterdam. They make, compose, produce and perform their own work in which music is always the beginning, the middle and the end. They love autotune as much as they love Monteverdi.
Fascinated by pop culture and the experiences of the millennial, they create universes where different genres and disciplines intersect to form a new sensory experience: musicals about the end of the world, meditative operas, eco-feminist punk bands, quirky radio art and monuments to a drowning city. Club Gewalt are addicted to their audience and, on the eve of the apocalypse, sing their own lungs out in an attempt to unlock an alternative timeline.
They’ll celebrate their 10 Year Anniversary at O. festival in Rotterdam.
