On October 4th Dutch sixties band MOOON will release its new album Safari. Safari is a musical journey in which the band escapes from the busy city life into the kingdom of animals, nature and friendship. On this journey MOOON discovers wild animals and unknown sounds while losing themselves into their own psychedelic world.

MOOON consists of the two brothers Tom and Gijs de Jong accompanied by their nephew Timo van Lierop, all of them still in the beginning of their twenties. The band members were born and raised in the small village of Aarle-Rixtel. Here they started making music in their parents barn at a very young age. The sound of MOOON can best be described as 60’s garage blues with surf influences and a psychedelic twist. In 2017 the band released its debut album MOOON’s Brew which resulted in an appearance at Dutch television show De Wereld Draait Door, a show at Eurosonic/Noorderslag festival and tours throughout the Netherlands, Spain, Portugal and Germany.
